Skinning

  • Verify that there are no obvious visual defects when switching skins (just take a look at the home page to make sure no CSS includes are missing) 

Page printing and exporting to PDF

  • Check that “Print page” button accessible for displayed (allowed to view or editing) pages;
  • Check that “Print page” button doesn’t accessible for restricted to view pages;
  • Check that “Print page” button doesn’t accessible for service pages, such “Log in”, etc.
  • Check that pressing on active “Print page” button opens new window with thumb of current page;
  • Check that after pressing “Print page” in special printing window, printer options window appeared;
  • Check that printed copy of document is equivalent to screen prototype;
  • Check that resizing of printing page is not changes thumb (all strings should be constant);
  • Check that comments, table of attached files and images prints with page contents together;
  • Check that images, tables, headers and other decorations prints correctly;
  • Check that button “Save to PDF” saves page to Portable Document Format document also well, as printing to paper;
  • Check that it’s possible to save PDF to local disk;
  • Check that “Print page” button disabled during page editing or enabled, but it’s possible to print current version of page (second variant is preferable);
  • Check that “Print preferences” shows printing options;
  • Check that printing options contains “Print without tables of attachments” and “Print without comments”;
  • Check that two previous items can be selected together or separately;


Outlook Connector

  • Check that “Mindtouch Outlook Connector” is properly displayed in Start->Programs menu and in Control panel (Microsoft Windows);
  • Check that it’s possible to uninstall Outlook Connector;
  • Check that after uninstalling all folders are removed;
  • Check that Mindtouch Connector icons (“Publish” and “Settings”) is accessible from Outlook/Outlook Express;
  • Check that it’s possible to configure Connector to specified DEKI host (use “Settings”);
  • Check that it’s possible to configure Connector to specified user account (use “Settings”);
  • Check that click on “Publish” button in Outlook/Outlook Express opens default browser with page, which contains identical copy of selected letter in mail client;
  • Check that if no letters are selected in Outlook/Outlook Express, click on “Publish” button doesn’t have any effect;
  • Check that imported from Outlook/Outlook Express page presents absolutely identically with mail (all decoration, images, tables, attachments, fonts should be correct);
  • Check that it’s possible to add a few hosts to hosts list;
  • Check that button “Set As Default” defines selected host as default;
  • Check that after clicking button “Remove” (Settings) appeared special dialog box with confirmation;
  • Check that “No” button in dialog of host removing is cancelling host removing;
  • Check that “Yes” button in dialog of host removing is remove host;
  • Check that “Change” button opens dialog of changing host properties;
  • Check that all fields in dialog of host properties are editable;
  • Check that it’s possible to change any of parameters in host properties;
  • Check that click on icon “?” opens hint for corresponding field (check for all fields);
  • Check that “Cancel” button closes dialog of host properties without saving changes;
  • Check that click on “Add” button opens dialog box of creating new host with blank fields;
  • Check that validators are created to each of fields for dialog box “Add account”;
  • Check that if changes were created and user press “Cancel button”, appeared specified dialog box (about losing not saved changes);

 

Desktop Connector

  • Check that “Mindtouch Desktop Connector” is properly displayed in Start->Programs menu and in Control panel (Microsoft Windows) after installation;
  • Check that it’s possible to uninstall Desktop Connector;
  • Check that after uninstalling all folders are removed;
  • Check that “Address” field allows to type URL;
  • Check that after pressing “Go” button, Connector will load specified URL;
  • Check that after pressing “Refresh” button, Connector will refresh current URL;
  • Check that Connector properly displays pages tree with all sub-pages;
  • Check that File | Download is not accessible if user select folder, but not file;
  • Check that File | Download is accessible if user select one or more files in one folder;
  • Check that File | Refresh refreshes current URL;
  • Check that F5 key refreshes current URL;
  • Check that File | Exit closes Connector window;
  • Check that command File | Download open specified dialog box for local saving of files;
  • Check that special dialog box for local saving of files appeared also after context menu “Download” on file(s) name;
  • Check that it’s possible to download a few files at once;
  • Check that downloadable files are valid, CRC is not corrupted;
  • Check that files information it table displays correctly;
  • Check that descriptions are displayed properly;
  • Check that it’s possible to make sorting by any of columns in files table via clicking on title of column;
  • Check that “Delete” command deletes selected files if you have permissions to removing of this files;
  • Check that “Delete” command informs about inability to delete this files, if you have not permissions to access to this files;
  • Check chat command “File | Upload” uploads selected file to current folder;
  • Check that if Internet connection is failed during file uploading, Connector is not freezes and reports about error;
  • Check that user cannot upload files to pages (folders), which were restricted to him on DEKI pages;
  • Check that user cannot download files from pages, which were restricted for him on DEKI pages;
  • Check that user cannot see pages tree if he doesn’t have “Browse” permissions (for hi role status);
  • Check that after clicking on button “Browse” (globe) opens browser with selected page;
  • Check that Settings | manage settings opens options dialog box;
  • Check that title near “Browse” button (“Current user”) displays name of current user properly;
  • Check that “Desktop Connector | Settings” dialog box contains all created accounts;
  • Check that it’s possible to select account via keyboard arrow keys or mouse clicks;
  • Check that button “Set as default” makes account as default: name of this account should be modified to bold style, this account should be used at Connector start up;
  • Check that “Add” button opens special dialog box of creating new account/host;
  • Check that all fields in dialog box of creating new account/host have validators;
  • Check that after pressing “OK” button new account/host will be created if data in fields are correct (in dialog box of creating new account/host);
  • Check that click on button “Test connection” (“Add/Modify Settings” dialog box) test specified host and informs about testing results (in both cases – success or failure);
  • Check that if user make some changes in account/host settings and wish close this dialog box (by using “Cancel” button or “X” window button), dialog box will be appeared;
  • Check that if user doesn’t make some changes in account/host settings and wish close this dialog box (by using “Cancel” button or “X” window button), dialog box will not be appeared;
  • Check that before deleting account/host dialog box is appeared;
  • Check that “OK” button closes “Settings” dialog box;
  • Check that Settings | <Account name> switch account/host;
  • Check that it’s possible to resize Connector window;
  • Check that it’s possible to restore Connector window size;
